Gemma joined the business as CFO in June 2025. Originally training at PwC within Audit, Gemma has around 20 years of experience in the Finance sector and has held senior leadership roles in a variety of industries and business scale, including water and coffee company Eden Springs, Top 5 Global Insurance broker Gallaghers and most recently, the Scottish Event Campus, home to the world famous Ovo Hydro arena. Specifically, her background is mainly in technical accounting, change/project management and mergers & acquisitions activity, but also has experience in commercial contract negotiations, internal control/risk management and governance structuring.
A passionate people leader, Gemma has developed and supported several individuals on their accounting and finance career journey, and continues her enthusiasm for higher education support through her recent appointment as a Lay Member of Court at the University of the West of Scotland. Gemma is also a trustee of The Nepal Trust, a local not-for-profit organisation focused on improving education and healthcare for children and the wider community in Nepal.
Outside of work, Gemma loves spending time with her family, travelling both to relax and compete in fitness events, including completing the London, Berlin and Paris Marathons and most recently has caught the Hyrox bug. A keen music lover also from playing various instruments during her childhood, Gemma is often at concerts and events, from Take That to Teddy Swims and everything in between, although the T in the Park days are long behind her!
